The generators were designed to be above the 500-year flood hazard elevation. The new pump stations were designed as a result of flooding during Superstorm Sandy and are provided to decrease flooding and provide more time for evacuations during an emergency. This project was funded by the Community Block Grant Development Disaster Relief Fund

Roberts Engineering Group balanced cuts and fills to permit three multipurpose fields and a parking lot, designed a stormwater basin to conform to the State and the Soil Conservation District, performed the necessary soil logs and testing for the detention basin, prepared the engineering, calculations, report and the application to the State NJDEP Stream Encroachment to permit construction of the detention basin outfall, prepared the necessary plans, calculations and application to Mercer County Soil Conservation District, provided a lighting plan and details for lights on the parking lot to conform to the Township’s Standards, provided the necessary construction plans and specifications for an irrigation system and well to serve the three multipurpose fields, and provided all construction details, plans, specifications and bid documents for the construction of the fields, parking lot, parking lot lights and stormwater facilities.
- [HIGHTSTOWN ROAD IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM](https://robertsengineeringgroup.com/project-portfolio/hightstown-road-improvement-program/) - Roberts Engineering Group prepared the plans and specifications for public advertisement, including field survey, and preparation of permits for Mercer County Soil Conservation District. The Hightstown Road Program consisted of the reconstruction of an entire residential neighborhood of six roads: Park Avenue, Greeley Street, Glen Brook Place, Grant Avenue, Hutchinson Street, and Park Way. In addition to roadway improvements such as new pavement, curbs and sidewalks, this project included replacement of much of the water, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer infrastructure within the project area. The project area had severely deteriorated curbs, sidewalks, and pavement, as well as curb ramps that were not compliant with current ADA standards. This project corrected these problems and transformed an entire neighborhood into an area that invites pedestrian traffic. In addition to the concrete and pavement that were replaced under this contract, the Borough used this opportunity to enhance the stormwater, water, and sanitary sewer infrastructure as well. The existing water main in Park Avenue was replaced with a larger water main in order to provide better service to all properties in the northwest section of the Borough. In addition, sewer mains and laterals were replaced to prevent infiltration, thus providing a more efficient conveyance system and treatment process. Stormwater runoff was addressed by limiting new inlets. The roadway was graded to allow for stormwater runoff to drain towards small lawn areas where practical. In addition, a new perforated underdrain was provided around Association Park and along Park Way to increase stormwater recharge into the groundwater. This project included a road diet for Park Avenue, the main road in the community. Park Avenue was reduced from 39-ft. wide to 30-ft. wide and in the area adjacent to Association Park; we designed protected on-street parking which helped to narrow two intersections and reduce the length of the crosswalks.
- [BOUNDARY PRESERVATION SURVEYING – MONMOUTH COUNTY PARK SYSTEM: SAGER](https://robertsengineeringgroup.com/project-portfolio/boundary-preservation-surveying-monmouth-county-park-system-sager/) - Roberts Engineering Group prepared a Boundary Survey in accordance with Monmouth County Park System and NJDEP Green Acres Specifications of a 15-acre site along the Crosswicks Creek in Upper Freehold Township, Monmouth County.
